Perhaps no architect throws himself into a site like Greg Norman. Virtually indefatigable, Norman laces up a pair of well-worn, soiled boots and sets off like a wind-up toy, daring others to keep up.
 
Last year’s third-place finish at the British Open showed the 54-year-old’s playing career may not be over. But Norman has moved on for the most part, focusing on other interests like his design business, to which he has brought the same elan that marked his game. Playing his courses, which have plenty of risk-reward drama, average golfers can feel like the Great White Shark himself.
